I would never use this company again totally unreliable.
Went into purchase a multi purpose pump on Monday 11.41 was told this item was not held in stock but if ordered they do next day delivery and would be in shortly after 12 noon so i agreed and paid my money rather than order off Amazon. Called in Tuesday afternoon and told its not in yet, then told it could take 48 hours?? Not what is says on their web site. This is not what i was told originally, I told them to give me a refund and i'll go else where, they then told me they can't refund money in-store and had to phone their head office for a refund. By now i am becoming very irate, so phoned their head office totally fobbed me off. They told me a manager would phone me back in 15 minutes to resolve the matter, needless to say that call was not received. It took me a third visit to this store on the Wednesday, fortunately the pump had arrived. They constantly lied to me, my time and fuel were wasted much more value than the item i had ordered and paid for. I would advise everyone to consider using Amazon rather than this company it might cost a pound or more but you are not wasting time and money.

Honestly, if you don’t want to be mired in one calamity after another, stay clear of Screwfix. I’m still awaiting a refund of £150 form a sale that never went through due to Screwfix, and then to add further angst the replacement order, having waited at home all day yesterday (the hottest day on record) didn’t show up. Talking to their help centre is like communicating with someone who won’t deviate from their written script, I.E we appreciate your business, we’re so sorry, which amounts to sackcloth and ashes insincerity. Incidentally despite Screwfix blaming HSBC for my refund being in cyberspace, HSBC puts the blame squarely on Screwfix. Screwfix: more like screwup. ‼️And to save yourself the time of replying with ‘we’re so sorry and we’re here to help blah blah and can you send us more details blah blah, just look at the information you already have and sort out my refund and my delivery. I want action not platitudes. REMEMBER before you order from Screwfix, 47% Bad and 8% Poor. That’s how 55% of their customers rate this company!

Yes it said next day in Huyton Liverpool.
The staff said there was 17 items missing from the delivery
I use screwfix very often. Never had this befor. That's why I use them. But after TODAY may look elsewhere first

That's a good question. Maybe the dtriver was taken ill or there was a crash or the truck broke down...
But managed to deliver all items other than 17 staff said they had a delivery this morning

Stand out service vs competitors
I have been making multiple orders each week while renovating my house. Orders are always delivered when they are indicated and are always complete. Great fast service in store too. Competitors need to pay attention to Screwfix, their service is significantly better than others. Recommended.

screwfix liverpool erskine (trafalgar way): click & collect was so efficient, and colin at the till was wonderful. my mum and i walked over in the heat and he was so sweet to us - gave us cold water and helped us get a cab back, turned the fan our way and kept us entertained with stories!! thank you screwfix for the lovely bolt cutter and thank you colin for restoring my faith in humanity.
Can’t fault biggin hill!
Use the Biggin Hill branch regularly. Quick service, polite staff, plenty parking, easy access.
Never any mistakes in even big orders, good alerting system via SMS.
Any excess products ordered or not right are willingly and easily refunded.
Screwfix have come a LONG way over the years. Great business.

I usually use ToolStation as far easier to buy there without the faff of taking ID to the branch and wait , but unfortunately my required item was out of stock, so Screwfix was my next port of call. I didnt bother pre ordering as its no quicker and with the faff of needing ID, just wrote down the product order number, what it was , and the price. Got to the counter and a very stroppy girl said i couldnt have my item as it wasnt pre ordered and wasnt on an official sheet. Eventually a different girl appeared and said it was ok. The paper was thrust at me and "stroppy girl", demanded to know the product code, Wanting to know my account name etc, (the account is in my sons name and as i was a female, this was also questioned as to why. Eventually the item was found and i paid for it. "Stroppy girl" was so rude and unhelpful , and more interested in admiring her extremely long and decorative finger nails . I will continue to favour ToolStation, and if not in stock , use Kidderminsters other Screwfix.

Visited the Bideford branch in the middle of a power cut but the staff were brilliant I was directed to another branch by a jolly ginger haired lad who couldnt do more for me in the end got what i wanted albeit a bit further than i anticipated travelling many thanks to the staff at both branches

Screwfix sold me a shoddy lawnmower…
Screwfix sold me a shoddy lawnmower last summer which failed after fewer than 12 cuts of a small lawn. It’s been discontinued (understandably) so they won’t replace it and there is nowhere nearby that now does under-warranty repairs (again, perhaps understandably). My take it or leave it offer is a credit for another (equally shoddy?) product. When something goes wrong, smart companies know it’s best to go above and beyond to make things right. The offer of a cash refund if a direct replacement isn’t possible shouldn’t be too hard to do. But Screwfix isn’t smart. It’s very, very dumb.

Drill hunting? Look no further
Needed a drill but having no idea what type I needed because there are so many and they all seem to do different things, I was really thankful to Sam at the Bideford store who asked what I needed it for and what budget I had and showed me some display models so I could make my choice. He was friendly, helpful and didn’t rush me.

I ordered a Hozelock autoreel from them in the Torquay Depot, next day got a text to say it was in. Picked it up there and then. No problems at all.
